CNN en Español Rebrands and Sharpens Multiplatform Strategy

May 11, 2026 — CNN en Español is advancing its next phase of growth following a year of structural and editorial transformation, unveiling a refreshed brand identity and a sharpened multiplatform strategy focused on U.S. Hispanic audiences while maintaining its long‑established presence across Latin America.

The updated brand—including a refreshed image and logo—reinforces CNN en Español’s closer alignment with the broader CNN portfolio and reflects a growing emphasis on multiplatform distribution.

“This evolution is about aligning our journalism, platforms and brand for where Spanish‑speaking audiences are increasingly consuming news,” said Penny Manis, Vice President of Editorial and Content Strategy for CNN en Español. “We’re sharpening our focus on U.S. Hispanic audiences while continuing to build on the credibility, reach and influence CNN en Español has established across Latin America over decades.”

As part of the strategy, the network is rebranding its FAST channel as CNN Noticias, capitalizing on rapid momentum in ad‑supported streaming. Since mid‑February, the channel’s FAST audience has doubled, driven in part by sustained engagement around major global breaking news, including coverage of developments in Venezuela, Mexico, and Iran.

The shift comes amid continued audience growth across platforms. Digitally, CNN en Español reported a 25% year‑over‑year increase in monthly unique visitors as of the end of April, alongside stronger engagement. Linear performance has also strengthened during the 2025–26 broadcast year, with CNN en Español expanding total viewer reach by more than 52% across all dayparts, underscoring its cross‑platform resilience.

The network has also expanded its programming and production footprint, launching the reimagined morning show CNN América anchored by Rebeka Kelly, alongside a companion weekly video podcast. Investments in Miami‑based production—including a new podcast studio and expanded Superflash capabilities—are supporting increased output, while the recent addition of Emmy‑nominated bilingual journalist Carolina Peguero strengthens coverage in the U.S. Hispanic market.

Together, these moves position CNN en Español for continued growth as a modern, multiplatform news brand serving Spanish‑speaking audiences in the U.S., Latin America and beyond.
