CNN’S SARA SIDNER REPORTS IN “WAR WITH IRAN: THE ATTACK AND FALLOUT” FOR THE WHOLE STORY WITH ANDERSON COOPER
NEW YORK, NY – (March 6, 2026) – The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, a six-time Emmy® Award-winning CNN Original, returns with an in-depth look at the escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, and the events that led to the outbreak of regional conflict. “War with Iran: The Attack and Fallout” with CNN Anchor and Senior National Correspondent Sara Sidner premieres Sunday, March 8 at 10pm ET/PT. The hour will stream on demand the next day for subscribers of CNN’s streaming offering.
In “War with Iran: The Attack and Fallout,” Sidner examines the recent history behind the increasingly fraught relationship between the United States and Iran, tracing the chain of events that set the stage for last week’s U.S. and Israeli strikes and the rapidly expanding conflict now entering its second week. Drawing on reporting across the region and interviews with leading experts and policymakers, the hour explores why the United States chose to strike now, how Iran and its allies are responding, and what the conflict could mean for the future of the region and for U.S. politics domestically.
The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper is a collection of unique and immersive single subject, one-hour episodes from CNN’s award-winning longform storytelling team showcasing character-driven stories, special interviews, and investigative deep dives featuring reporting from CNN’s anchors and correspondents.
