May 24, 2021 HLN premieres Murder Nation – a new investigation docu-series that puts a spotlight on deadly crimes that are unique to particular locales in the United States – on Sunday, June 13 at 9pm ET/PT with “Blood on the Bayou.”
Airing with two, one-hour, back-to-back episodes each week, each season of Murder Nation focuses on the crimes that are distinct to one U.S. region, whether it is bodies that turn up in swamps in the Bayou, killers stalking the sandy beaches of the Jersey Shore, victims lusting for fame in the Hollywood Hills, or screams lost in the cold Alaskan tundra.
The series illuminates what connects these crimes to their environments and what makes them so uniquely American.
In season one, the “Blood on the Bayou” delves into the Louisiana Bayou, home to a rich and diverse culture, lush swampland, and hearty southern food. But beneath the green marshes and in the shadows of the bright Mardi Gras lights, lie some of America’s most vicious murderers.
Prior to the broadcast premiere, starting on June 4, the episode BIG EASY BLACK WIDOW will be made available on demand to subscribers via cable/satellite systems, CNNgo platforms and CNN mobile apps. Each episode will be available on demand the day after their broadcast premiere via cable/satellite systems, CNNgo platforms and CNN mobile apps.
Murder Nation is produced for HLN by Glass Entertainment.
