CNN Special Reports Two-Hour Documentaries Beat both Fox News and MSNBC Combined

Monday night’s CNN Special Reports, Unfinished Business: The Essential Hillary Clinton and All Business: The Essential Donald Trump were the most-watched programs in cable news at 8pm and 10pmET among adults 25-54.

Reported by justice correspondent Pamela Brown and chief political analyst Gloria Borger respectively, the documentaries go beyond the campaign trail and lolitical rhetoric to get to the heart and soul of the two people vying for the presidency of the United States.

From 8pm-10pm, Unfinished Business: The Essential Hillary Clinton ranked #1 among adults 25-54 with 452k, beating the combined delivery of Fox News and MSNBC. Fox News averaged 273k. MSNBC lagged with 128k.  In total viewers, CNN delivered 1.6m, Fox News averaged 1.8m and MSNBC averaged 742k.

From 10pm-12am, All Business: The Essential Donald Trump ranked #1 among adults 25-54 with 448k, beating the combined delivery of Fox News and MSNBC. Fox News averaged 193k. MSNBC trailed with 101k. In total viewers, CNN delivered 1.7m, Fox News averaged 1.0m and MSNBC averaged 352k.

The documentaries will re-air on Saturday, Sept. 10 with All Business: The Essential Donald Trump airing at 8pmET and Unfinished Business: The Essential Hillary Clinton airing at 10pmET.
