MEDIA USAGE GUIDANCE FOR OCTOBER 13TH CNN FACEBOOK DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE

USAGE RULES:

Upon conclusion of the debate, news organizations may use excerpts (up to 3:00 minutes at a time) and must provide on screen credit throughout “Courtesy of CNN.”

DIGITAL VIDEO USAGE RULES:

Similar to broadcast rules, upon conclusion of the debate news organizations may use digital video clips (up to 3:00 minutes at a time) and must credit CNN.  Select digital video clips of the debate will be shared with credentialed media during the debate for immediate use.

CNN FACEBOOK DEBATE LIVE STREAM:

CNN will offer a live stream of the debate on CNN.com’s Home Page and across mobile platforms from 8p to 11pET.  All users will be able to watch live CNN TV online and on their mobile devices without logging in.  To access the full immersive experience – with program rundowns and on-demand clips in real time – users can go to CNN.com/go or the CNN app for iPad and log-in now in preparation for tomorrow’s debate. This live event will give viewers access to the debate across all platforms to showcase the value of TV Everywhere.

DEBATE TIMING:

CNN and Facebook will host the first Democratic National Committee Presidential Primary Debate on Tuesday, Oct. 13th.  Debate programing will begin at 5:30pmPT/8:30pmET.

The debate will air live exclusively on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español. CNN will also offer a live stream of the debate on CNN.com’s Home Page and across mobile platforms.  All users will be able to watch live CNN TV online and on their mobile devices without logging in. This live event will give viewers access to the debate across all platforms to showcase the value of TV Everywhere. In addition, Westwood One News will air the debate live through their broadcast radio stations.
