Ebola survivor Nancy Writebol to Dallas patient in serious condition: Don’t give up

Anderson Cooper spoke with Ebola survivor Nancy Writebol about the first patient diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S. He is currently listed in serious condition at a Dallas hospital.

When asked how she would advise him and his family, Nancy Writebol told Anderson:  “Well in the first place, we would just want them to know that we’ve been praying for them and we know this is a very difficult time. I think one of the things they should know about Ebola is that, you know, you can have really good days, Anderson, and then you can have really bad days and it’s an up and down disease. And so if they’re having a really bad day, don’t give up. Because it’s very possible the next day is going turn around and look better.”

The full interview will air tonight at 8 pm on CNN’s AC360°.
