My 24 hour trip to and from Nicaragua ended very quickly and unleashed a roller coaster of emotions. The celebration in the hangar was fun and uplifting! I felt I was in a room filled with givers at heart. The site visits in Nicaragua were tough reminders of the suffering and the great need for basic medical care in Nicaragua and around the world, which reinforces the importance of the continued commitment –on behalf of all of the people in that hangar, including myself– to help the less fortunate. As I looked out the window as we flew out of Managua I thought, #gothere and make a difference!
