Primetime Programs Boast Double Digit Gains in Key Demo
HLN Bests MSNBC in Total Day
HLN experienced double-digit growth in total day and prime August 2014 vs. August 2013:
TOTAL DAY
- +16% among P2+ (282k v 243k)
- +21% among P25-54 (111k v 92k)
PRIME (M-Su)
- +18% among P2+ (365k v 310k)
- +12% among P25-54 (127k v 113k)
In total day, HLN posted the 2nd biggest increase in both demos (after CNN) amongst all cable news networks, and boasts the same among P2+ in M-Su prime vs. year ago.
HLN’s prime line-up also posted double and single digit increases in key P25-54 demo vs. prior year:
- Jane Velez-Mitchell +28% (101k v 79k)
- Nancy Grace +12% (140k v 125k)
- Dr. Drew On Call +12% (122k v 109k)
- Forensic Files +37% (125k v 91k)
HLN beat MSNBC in total day by +8% in P25-54 (111k v 103k). August marks the 3rd consecutive month HLN has bested MSNBC head-to-head (M-Su 6a-6a).
