Sunday on CNN’s Reliable Sources, Politico’s Dylan Byers and NPR’s David Folkenflik asked Howard Kurtz about his mistakes in reporting on the story of NBA player Jason Collins.
Kurtz: “The mistake that I made was sloppy and inexcusable… Because I have been a media critic for two decades, I should be held to a higher standard, because I am the host of this program, I should be held to a higher standard. I deserve the criticism. I accept it and determined to learn from this episode.”
