Jerry Springer: “This election is between Barack Obama and Paul Ryan…Romney is almost irrelevant to it”

On Wednesday night, “Piers Morgan Tonight” invited television personality Jerry Springer to share his unique perspective, and candid insight, in a live, face to face interview.

Well-known as the host of his long-running tabloid talk show, Springer is also a former mayor of Cincinnati, OH, and is well-versed on the political landscape:

Roughly two weeks since Romney selected Wisconsin’s Paul Ryan as his running mate, Springer suspects the Republican vice presidential candidate may play a critical role in dictating the result come November:

“This election is between Barack Obama and Paul Ryan. Romney is almost irrelevant to it,” says the 68-year-old “The Jerry Springer Show” host. “Paul Ryan is the budget that this congress has passed. What I say to people is look: ‘God forbid Romney is elected. If Romney is elected with this Congress, which has already passed the “Ryan Budget,” there is no president for the next four years to veto anything this right wing congress does.'”
