‘Amanpour’ debuts with Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai

Today, in the debut broadcast of Amanpour, CNN International’s Christiane Amanpour interviewed Hamid Karzai, President of Afghanistan, about the massacre of 17 civilians – allegedly at the hand of U.S. Army staff sergeant Robert Bales.  She also interviews Dr. Jim Yong Kim the new president of the World Bank, and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the finance minister of Nigeria who had requested a more open nominating process for the leadership post at the World Bank.
