Ajami: US now sees Syria for what it is

On “In the Arena,” Middle East expert Fouad Ajami, who just won the Eric Breindel award for opinion journalism, says the U.S. fell under the spell of Syria’s PR machine and now sees its deceit.

Ajami says, “Well, we have imposed sanctions on Syria. They don’t mean much. And I think fundamentally, we were always late. We were behind the curve on Syria.”
