NBA’s Ron Artest to CNN’s Dr. Gupta: “I’m an example, a solution”

Los Angeles Lakers star Ron Artest famously thanked his psychiatrist for helping him manage his anger after his team won the 2010 NBA championship game.  He feels that access to therapy greatly helped improve his life and his game and he now hopes to inspire others.  Artest discusses his experiences with, and advocacy for, mental health counseling with CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

“…I’m an example, I’m a solution – and I’m trying to be a role model.  I’m not a role model yet, but I’m trying to be a role model…,” Artest tells Dr. Gupta in an interview airing this weekend on SANJAY GUPTA, M.D.
