Two Anderson Cooper 360° Specials Airing Friday, May 10, Encore Saturday, May 11

Two Anderson Cooper 360° specials, taking a in-depth look into the week's top stories will air on CNN this weekend, beginning Friday, May 10.

Vanished: Anderson Cooper 360° Special is a town hall hosted by CNN's Anderson Cooper which will highlight the frightening numbers of missing persons in America.  With John Walsh of America's Most Wanted, this special will feature individual stories of people still looking for loved ones, tell the stories of people who were found and reunited with their families, and feature the everyday heroes who have helped find missing people.   Vanished: Anderson Cooper 360° Special will debut at 8:00pm, and encore at 11:00pm and 2:00am.  This special will encore on Saturday, May 11 at 8:00pm and 12:00am.  All times Eastern.

Murder in the First Degree – Inside the Arias Trial will focus on the now notorious trial that has captured the attention of many viewers across the nation.  Now that Jodi Arias has been convicted of first-degree murder of businessman Travis Alexander, this special Anderson Cooper report examines the unusual trial as it enters the sentencing phase.  CNN’s Randi Kaye reviews the case and interviews legal experts – including HLN anchor Vinnie Politan – who parse the testimony and the evidence in the now-notorious “break-up murder” trial that has riveted court watchers and television viewers for months.  Murder in the First Degree – Inside the Arias Trial will air at 10:00pm and 1:00am.  This special will encore on Saturday, May 11 at 9:00pm and 1:00am.  All times Eastern.

HLN Revs Up Nightly News With Launch Of Evening Express

Nationally Syndicated Radio Host and Best-Selling Financial Expert Clark Howard and CNN Journalist Isha Sesay Join New Show Airing 5-7 p.m. ET

 

NEW YORK, NY, May 22, 2012—HLN launches a new destination for news and information with Evening Express, hosted by Ryan Smith, beginning Monday, June 4. This new addition to HLN’s schedule will air weeknights, 5-7 p.m. ET, and feature HLN’s popular personal finance expert Clark Howard, and CNN’s Isha Sesay, it was announced by Scot Safon, Executive Vice President and General Manager, HLN. Evening Express will be based at the network’s global headquarters in Atlanta.

“HLN is excited to offer our viewers an evening news program that centers on the news and information they’ll discuss around the dinner table,” said Safon. “The format and tone of Evening Express was inspired by our hit show Morning Express with Robin Meade. Viewers tell us all the time that they love how Robin and the Morning Express team start their day on HLN, and now Ryan, Clark and Isha will be welcoming them home in the evening.”

Missing Girl's Neighbor Talks with Nancy Grace

Watch as Nancy Grace speaks to Isabel Celis’ neighbor Alicia Stardevant, who remembers hearing male voices and dogs barking early in the morning of the day that Isabel went missing. She found out two hours later that Isabel was, in fact, missing.  Stardevant goes on to say she remembers the window being wide open that morning and that she was woken up by her dog and the dogs from the Celis house who were all barking loudly. Zimmerman's friend speaks out with Jane Velez-Mitchell

Frank Taaffe, friend of George Zimmerman, tells HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell about his conversation with the man at the center of the controversy and discusses the newly launched website, TheRealGeorgeZimmerman.com, which includes a letter from George Zimmerman himself.

On the site is a link to a Pay Pal account that seeks donations to pay for his defense. Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, has not been charged.

Exclusive: Joran van der Sloot friend on ‘Nancy Grace’

In an exclusive interview on “Nancy Grace” Joran van der Sloot’s friend John Ludwick talks fondly of the accused killer and shockingly blames the victim! Ludwick implies the murdered young woman would not be dead if she hadn’t been “nosey”, looking into van der Sloot’s personal items. He says Joran van der Sloot’s apparent cavalier behavior in court is just a façade. The trial is postponed until Wednesday, when van der Sloot is expected to finally give his plea. He is charged with "qualified murder" and simple robbery in the killing of 21-year-old Stephany Flores.
