Popular CNN Original Series Morgan Spurlock Inside Man, hosted and produced by the Oscar®-nominated documentary filmmaker, launches its fourth season on Friday, June 3 at 10pm ET/PT with an inside look at professional gambling.
In his inimitable, inquisitive style, and with a sense of humor intact, Spurlock tells compelling stories from an insider’s perspective. In the new season Morgan tackles toxins, gambling, the space industry, disruptors, gaming, and crime scene investigations.
The multiple award-winning program averaged 546,000 total viewers and 244,000 Adults 25-54 for premiere episodes in season three (1/22-3/19/15) and posted its highest season performance ever among both Adults 25-54 and total viewers. It surpassed its season two average (airing on Sundays at 10pm) by 7% in Adults 25-54 (228,000) and 27% in total viewers (429,000).*

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (airdate June 3 2016)
Spurlock enters the seductive world of professional gambling by spending a week in Las Vegas determined to beat the house. His exploration of this pastime, which often leads to serious addiction, takes him to casinos, bookies, the racetrack, Off Track Betting and just about any place that allows him to gamble.
ONE GIANT STEP FOR MORGAN (airdate June 10, 2016)
Spurlock “virtually” experiences life as an astronaut and investigates the future of the space industry. The host’s journey takes him to government and private facilities including NASA’s Johnson Space Center (Houston), the X-Prize Foundation (Culver City, CA.) and Virgin Galactic (Mojave Air & Space Port, CA.) to see how the rules of the game are changing and what it means for the human race.
THE TRUTH ABOUT TOXINS (airdate June 17, 2016)
In a quest to rid his life of contaminants – which are prominent in food, cleaning products and even furniture, Spurlock gets professional help to “de-tox.” The host puts his body to the test, dabbling in chelation therapy, infrared saunas, electromagnetic-free sleep chambers, and various cleanses, to see if poisons can truly be flushed out of our bodies and surroundings in the modern world.
CSI: SPURLOCK (airdate June 24, 2016)
Separating fact from TV dramatizations, Spurlock embeds in a forensic science unit to understand first-hand how crime scene investigations are actually conducted. From the first responders, to the collection of evidence (at CSI Academy in Alachua, FL and ATF training facility in Huntsville, AL) and its analysis in the lab, he gets a crash course in Crime 101 from beginning to end.
GAME CHANGERS (airdate July 1, 2016)
Screaming fans, sold-out arenas, and teenage superstars, Spurlock joins the ranks of professional video gamers in one of the fastest-growing sectors of the “sports” world. Committed to understanding this shockingly intense industry, he joins reigning League of Legends North American Champions, from Counter Logic Gaming, as they train to compete for a big cash prize at the World Championship in Paris.
SEEK AND DISRUPT! (airdate July 8, 2016)
Inspired by companies like Google, AirBnB, and Spotify, Spurlock attempts to fill a void in the marketplace and re-write the rules by becoming the next disruptor. An eye-opening trip to Silicon Valley provides industry advice from tech giants, and examines why companies like Uber often leave a trail of enemies in their wake and questions whether this golden era of tech will solve age-old problems.
Three of CNN’s Original Series were honored with five top accolades at the Realscreen West 2015 awards in Los Angeles on June 2, and included a special honor for “Parts Unknown” host Anthony Bourdain who was inducted into Realscreen’s Hall of Fame.
CNN’s top rated series Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, which is produced by Zero Point Zero Production and completes its fifth season on the network June 21 with a tour of Beirut, was presented with three honors. The series scored top “Non-Fiction – Arts and Culture Program,” while the host was named “Hall of Fame –Personality of the Year,” and won in the category “ Outstanding Achievement – Host/Presenter Most Compelling Character.”
The popular CNN Original Series Morgan Spurlock Inside Man, produced by Warrior Poets, which begins season four on CNN in 2016, was honored as the top ”Non-Fiction – Social Issues and Current Affairs Program.”
CNN’s Original Series, the critically-acclaimed, The Sixties, executive produced by Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman, and Mark Herzog, won in the “Non Fiction-Archive based Program” category. The follow-up eight episode series The Seventies premieres on June 11.
Inside Man Tops MSNBC Flagship Rachel Maddow; Delivers 276,000 in Key Demo
The season three premiere of the CNN Original Series’ Morgan Spurlock Inside Man posted its highest rated episode ever on Thursday, January 22 (9-10pm ET) in the key P25-54 demo (276,000), and in total viewers (590,000).
Inside Man ranked second in its time period easily topping MSNBC’s flagship program The Rachel Maddow Show in the demo (276k vs. 187k).
The series premiered its third season on Thursday with the episode “MorganBot,” in which the host attempts to harness the power of robots and artificial intelligence to better control his busy life.

Mike Rowe, Lisa Ling, John Walsh Join Anthony Bourdain, Morgan Spurlock for CNN Original Series

CNN today announced a new primetime lineup that continues to build on the network’s strategy of offering both live, breaking news programming as well as quality, original series, CNN Films and in-house documentaries.
As part of the announcement, the network is bringing Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) back to series television, in a new program called Somebody’s Gotta Do It. In addition, proven television personalities John Walsh (America’s Most Wanted) and Lisa Ling (Our America with Lisa Ling) will also join CNN, with their own new, original series. CNN will also premiere The Jesus Code, which will take viewers on a forensic and archaeological journey through the Bible. And CNN announced that the ten-part original series The Sixties, from Playtone and acclaimed producers Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, will premiere in late May. The network also announced that its Peabody and Emmy-award winning hit Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown has been picked up for an additional four cycles in 2015 and 2016 and its critically acclaimed series Morgan Spurlock Inside Man has been renewed for another cycle in 2015. CNN has also entered into a development deal with the producers of Chicagoland to tell the story of another great American city.

Popular CNN Original Series Morgan Spurlock Inside Man, hosted and produced by the Oscar®-nominated documentary filmmaker, launches its second season on CNN with an inside look into the cult of “celebrity” on Sunday, April 13 at 10pm ET, following the season premiere of Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown at 9pm, ET.
In his signature storytelling style, which incorporates humor, inquisitiveness, impartiality and investigative acumen, Spurlock tackles a wide range of subjects that are part of the national conversation including, personal privacy, income disparity in the U.S, America’s obsession with pets, and the big business of college athletics. “Celebrity,” the season premiere episode will be live streamed on CNN.com beginning April 13.

The new season of eight, one-hour episodes launches in Spring 2014 and features Spurlock immersing himself in topical subjects while offering an intimate look into diverse aspects of the human condition.

Eight-episode Weekend Series Premieres with Inside Look Into The Medical Marijuana Industry
The CNN Original series Inside Man, hosted and produced by Oscar®-nominated documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, premieres Sunday, June 23 at 10:00 p.m. ET.
The one-hour weekly series will provide an intimate look into diverse sectors of American life and offer a deep-dive into pressing issues facing the U.S. that include migrant farm workers, the elder care industry, union workers, gun owners, education, bankruptcy and the drought.
