On Thursday, May 2, CNN en Español and CNN Latino unveiled its programming for the next year at the cocktail upfront reception held at the boutique hotel in Manhattan, Ink48.
Cynthia Hudson, senior vice president and general manager of CNN en Español and Hispanic Strategy for CNN/U.S. announced that CNN en Español, CNN’s independently produced 24-hour network in Spanish, will be taking several shows on the road this year. Conclusiones, the primetime show that airs on CNN en Español hosted by Fernando del Rincon that monitors the key happenings of the day, combining in-depth analysis of the most important news of the day, will be taped in Los Angeles in October. CNN LATINO CONTINUES TO EXPAND IN KEY MARKETS
New Affiliation Agreement in Salt Lake City Expands the Programming Block’s Reach
CNN Latino, the Spanish-language programming block custom-made for the U.S. Hispanic market, is expanding to Salt Lake City, it was announced today by Cynthia Hudson, senior vice president and general manager of CNN en Español and Hispanic Strategy for CNN/U.S. With the addition of this new market to its existing presence in Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Tampa and Phoenix, CNN Latino programming will now be available in markets that represent about 30% of U.S. Hispanic Households.
CNN Latino's broad spectrum of programming covering news, lifestyle, documentary, talk and debate represents an alternative to traditional Hispanic networks, and it will now be available on KPDR-LD Channel 19 in Salt Lake City. As part of its expansion plan, CNN Latino will work with KPDR Partners, to develop its alliance with this new affiliate. KPDR-LD will be broadcasting CNN Latino’s programming block from 4-12 PM (MT). They anticipate providing local Hispanic programming content in the future.

On Saturday, April 27, CNN will provide coverage of the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. The dinner brings together President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, top lawmakers and Hollywood’s A-list.
The network’s coverage will be hosted by Don Lemon, with White House correspondent Brianna Keilar and entertainment correspondent Nischelle Turner. The first hour of coverage will feature the best moments from White House Correspondents’ dinners past and the 10 p.m. hour will provide viewers live coverage of Pres. Obama's remarks and entertainment by comedian Conan O’Brien.
In addition, CNN Newsroom will provide live updates of the red carpet arrivals during the 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET hours.

Time Warner Inc. today announced the launch of the CNN-TIME Convention Floor Pass app, the ultimate mobile tool for the 2012 political conventions. Starting Thursday, June 21st through Saturday, June 23rd, CNN en Español will broadcast special coverage of the National Association of Latino Elected Leaders (NALEO) Annual Conference session. This exclusive coverage will be broadcast from Orlando, Florida, the place where the conference will take place and hosted by CNN en Español’s news team, Juan Carlos Lopez, Alejandra Oraa and all-platform reporter Gustavo Valdés.
This special coverage will include reports that will cover all of the events, as well as transmit live coverage of the speeches of President Barack Obama, former Governor Jeb Bush of Florida and Senator Marco Rubio, among others. At the same time, CNN en Español’s team of journalists will also interview some of the nation’s top executive and legislative leaders.
Starting Monday, May 28th through Wednesday, May 30th, CNN en Español will broadcast special coverage of the Texas primary, hosted by anchors Juan Carlos Lopez, Lucia Navarro, and Gustavo Valdes. At the same time, they will be collaborating with CNN throughout the coverage. The coverage will be carried out in three different cities, which include Houston, San Antonio, and Del Rio, bringing a comprehensive understanding of the Latino vote and the importance of that growing community in the United States.
This special presidential primary coverage will cover topics that include the diversity of the Latino vote, immigration and economic issues, and the power of the Latino vote, which are important to the Hispanic community in the United States.
Starting this Sunday, May 27th, at 9pm (ET), CNN en Español will broadcast an exclusive interview with singer Juanes on the show, Oppenheimer Presenta, hosted by journalist Andrés Oppenheimer. The Colombian singer and composer will talk about early education in Latin America, his most recent alliance with The World Bank, and his much-discussed conversation with President Barack Obama.
Moreover, Juanes will talk about his philanthropic message, his dream to organize the ‘Peace Without Borders’ (Paz sin fronteras) concert in Juarez, Mexico, and will reveal details about his new unplugged album “Juanes MTV Unplugged” which will be released next Tuesday, May 29th.
