Three of CNN’s Original Series were honored with five top accolades at the Realscreen West 2015 awards in Los Angeles on June 2, and included a special honor for “Parts Unknown” host Anthony Bourdain who was inducted into Realscreen’s Hall of Fame.
CNN’s top rated series Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown, which is produced by Zero Point Zero Production and completes its fifth season on the network June 21 with a tour of Beirut, was presented with three honors. The series scored top “Non-Fiction – Arts and Culture Program,” while the host was named “Hall of Fame –Personality of the Year,” and won in the category “ Outstanding Achievement – Host/Presenter Most Compelling Character.”
The popular CNN Original Series Morgan Spurlock Inside Man, produced by Warrior Poets, which begins season four on CNN in 2016, was honored as the top ”Non-Fiction – Social Issues and Current Affairs Program.”
CNN’s Original Series, the critically-acclaimed, The Sixties, executive produced by Tom Hanks, Gary Goetzman, and Mark Herzog, won in the “Non Fiction-Archive based Program” category. The follow-up eight episode series The Seventies premieres on June 11.
New Edition of “Prime Cuts” Offers Favorite Highlights From Season Four and a Taste of Season Five
Season five of the top-rated Emmy and Peabody award-winning CNN Original Series Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown begins on Sunday, April 26 at 9pm ET/PT with twist – a tour of the forward-looking culture of South Korea with each scene presented in reverse order.
The eight-episode season also features trips to Miami, Scotland, Madagascar, New Jersey, Budapest, Hawaii and Beirut.
Airing just prior to the season premiere will be the latest edition of “Prime Cuts” at 8pm ET/PT that offers a look back at season four and a taste of things to come in the next eight episodes.

After a brief search years ago led to closed doors, Michaela embarks on her roots journey again—this time not in pursuit of her birth parents, but for the place that her ancestors came from—in St. James Parish, Jamaica.
Anderson Cooper – (8pm ET on AC360) Many people know Anderson Cooper as having come from one of America’s most famous families – the Vanderbilts. But growing up, Anderson was always drawn to the southern roots of his father, Wyatt Cooper. Mike Rowe, Lisa Ling, John Walsh Join Anthony Bourdain, Morgan Spurlock for CNN Original Series

CNN today announced a new primetime lineup that continues to build on the network’s strategy of offering both live, breaking news programming as well as quality, original series, CNN Films and in-house documentaries.
As part of the announcement, the network is bringing Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs) back to series television, in a new program called Somebody’s Gotta Do It. In addition, proven television personalities John Walsh (America’s Most Wanted) and Lisa Ling (Our America with Lisa Ling) will also join CNN, with their own new, original series. CNN will also premiere The Jesus Code, which will take viewers on a forensic and archaeological journey through the Bible. And CNN announced that the ten-part original series The Sixties, from Playtone and acclaimed producers Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman, will premiere in late May. The network also announced that its Peabody and Emmy-award winning hit Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown has been picked up for an additional four cycles in 2015 and 2016 and its critically acclaimed series Morgan Spurlock Inside Man has been renewed for another cycle in 2015. CNN has also entered into a development deal with the producers of Chicagoland to tell the story of another great American city.
The CNN Original Series Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown is a winner in the University of Georgia’s 73rd annual George Foster Peabody Awards competition, which recognizes excellence and meritorious work by radio and television stations, networks, webcasters, producing organizations and individuals.

One-Hour Retrospective Follows Season 2 ‘Parts Unknown’ “Detroit” Finale at 9pm ET
CNN’s award-winning original series Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown will present a live, one-hour retrospective episode, Parts Unknown Last Bite, airing from Las Vegas on Sunday November 10 at 10pm ET, following the season two finale of the series, “Detroit.”
Hosted by Bourdain, the live show will emanate from the historic Las Vegas locale Atomic Liquors (a former package store and café where patrons would watch nuclear test blasts from the roof) and include the following special guests: famed chef Marcus Samuelsson, Treme/The Wire star Wendell Pierce, LA chef/author of upcoming memoir LA Son, Roy Choi, comedian Bonnie McFarlane and CNN anchor Don Lemon.
