CNN #1 IN CABLE NEWS IN PRIME TIME FOR THIRD STRAIGHT WEEK AMONG ADULTS 25-54

 Ranked #9 in ALL of Cable Among Total Viewers Last Week

 CNN Top-Rated During White House Correspondents’ Dinner Coverage

 CNN Original Series Ranked #1 in Demo on Sunday

Last week (4/25/16-5/1/16), CNN ranked #1 in cable news in M-Su Prime among adults 25-54.  This is only the third time CNN has won three consecutive weeks in the last 15 years.

The last time CNN won three consecutive weeks was at the end of 2015 (weeks of 12/14/15, 12/21/15 and 12/28/15) and the time before that was 2008 (weeks of 1/21/08, 1/28/08 and 2/4/08).  Before 2008, the last time was in 2001 (weeks of 11/12/01, 11/19/01 and 11/26/01).

CNN also ranked #9 in ALL of cable last week in total viewers in prime time (M-F and M-Su).

CNN’s coverage of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner led by John Berman, ranked #1 in both total viewers and among adults 25-54 throughout the evening of Saturday, April 30.

During the 10pm hour on Saturday,  CNN ranked #1 in cable news among both total viewers and adults 25-54.

Fox News:                                          1.2m total viewers                  238k among adults 25-54

MSNBC:                                             945k total viewers                  212k among adults 25-54

 

Full Coverage Blocks:

Fox News (10–11:13pm):                  1.2m total viewers                  231k among adults 25-54

MSNBC (9-11:09pm):                        737k total viewers                  159k among adults 25-54

CNN Original Series premieres ranked #1 among adults 25-54 on Sunday (5/1/16).  Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown (Chicago) averaged 251k among adults 25-54, MSNBC placed second with 172k and Fox News followed with 169k.  United Shades of America (San Quentin) was also top-rated with the W. Kamau Bell-led program attracting 263k, Fox News had 234k and MSNBC lagged behind with 142k among adults 25-54.
