On the tail of last week’s digital expansion announcement, CNN registered as the undisputed digital news leader in February 2016 with more multiplatform unique visitors, views, and minutes spent than any other news outlet. February also marked CNN’s 10th consecutive month as the Web’s number one source for news video, while also maintaining its longstanding position as the most followed news brand across social platforms.

#1 IN MULTIPLATFORM UNIQUE VISITORS

CNN welcomed 93 million unique visitors in February — millions more than any other news organization. On desktop and mobile devices, CNN beat second place Yahoo News by 7% and third place BuzzFeed.com by 15%.

Beating second-place Yahoo News by 40% and third place Fox News by 52%, CNN registered a massive 1.7 billion multiplatform views last month.

Across desktop and mobile devices, visitors spent more time consuming CNN content than any other news organization with 3.3 billion minutes spent on CNN Digital desktop and mobile platforms.

The clear and undisputed leader in news video, CNN once again beat all news competitors in video streams. With 259 million video streams in the month of February, CNN topped second place Yahoo News by 112 million streams and third-place FoxNews.com by 113 million streams.

More consumers watched video on CNN than on any other news site in February. With 26 million viewers, CNN bested second place Yahoo News by 9 million and more than doubled the viewers of third place FoxNews.com.

Audiences spent an astonishing 1.8 billion minutes consuming CNN video in February — more than any other news site. CNN video was consumed 37% more than second place FoxNews.com and 115% more than third place Yahoo News.
