CNN’s GOP Town Hall is #1 in Cable News Last Night

Town Hall is Top-Rated in both Total Viewers and Demo 25-54

Beats MSNBC at 8pm

CNN’s GOP Town Hall in Greenville, South Carolina (8-11pm) ranked #1 in cable news last night in both total viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Fast National data.  Moderated by Anderson Cooper, the Town Hall with presidential candidates Dr. Ben Carson, Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz averaged 2.307 million total viewers.  Fox News followed with 2.116 million and MSNBC had 1.227 million.  Among adults 25-54, CNN had 758k, Fox News was second with 393k and MSNBC registered 281k.

During the 8pm hour, CNN easily topped MSNBC’s Town Hall in both total viewers (2.057 million vs. MSNBC’s 1.432 million) and in the demo adults 25-54 (629k  vs. MSNBC’s 341k).  Fox News had 2.321m/373k at 8pm.

CNN will host another Republican presidential candidates’ Town Hall tonight (Thursday, February 18) in Columbia, South Carolina. This event includes Gov. John Kasich, Gov. Jeb Bush and Mr. Donald Trump and will also be moderated by Anderson Cooper in front of a live studio audience.
