Today sees the launch of CNN Style, a new online destination for intelligent, stylish content spanning the worlds of fashion, design, architecture, art, autos and luxury.
Throughout July, CNN Style welcomes renowned Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind who has designed some of the world’s most stylish and iconic buildings and exhibited at major museums and galleries. As guest editor, Libeskind has commissioned a series of pieces about architecture to be published through July, given an exclusive video interview to CNN Style and written about the interplay of architecture and emotion.
Highly visual with colourful galleries, interactives and a range of video and written content, CNN Style brings international audiences up close and personal with the biggest shows, events, trends and personalities across a range of style genres. Launch content includes interviews with legendary photographer David Bailey, pop art supremo Takashi Murakami, industrial designer Karim Rashid, performance artist Marina Abramović, superstar shoe designer Manolo Blahnik and model and petrolhead Jodie Kidd.
Tailored for mobile audiences and social sharing, CNN Style will span international and U.S. digital editions of CNN.com, CNN Arabic and CNN en Espanol and will be integrated into CNN Money’s digital platforms, taking its place alongside other major CNN brands and verticals such as CNN Politics and CNN Travel. CNN Style will also be integrated with TV programming.
CNN has appointed George Webster as Editor of CNN Style to head a new editorial team including Fiona Sinclair Scott from Vice Media. With CNN’s global footprint, CNN Style will be at the world’s most exclusive and high-end events to bring new trends, concepts and thinking to life.
