CNN.com Takes #1 Video and Traffic Spots, Dominates Social and Mobile

With nearly 1 billion page views, CNN.com overcame Yahoo News for the month of September to become the most consumed news and information website in the U.S.  CNN.com also snagged from Yahoo News the top spot in video starts for the first time on record. Adding to its unprecedented performance, CNN Digital maintained its 7-year mobile lead over all competitors while the network exhibited ongoing social dominance on Twitter and Facebook.

Breaking the 20 million followers mark @CNNBrk remained the No.1 news handle on Twitter, followed by @CNN (No.2) with 14.5mm.  CNN also dominates on Facebook with 15.5 mm likes – more than any other news brand.  CNN received more social mentions in the month of September than any other news brand.
