AC360 Video: ‘First tweeter’ describes being shaken by US airstrikes against ISIS in Syria

Well before the first media accounts of the attack on the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, Abdulkader Hariri, a Twitter user in the town, tweeted this:

“Breaking: Huge explosions shook the city in what might be the beginning of US airstrikes on ISIS HQs in Raqqa.”

Anderson Cooper speaks to Hariri about the Tweet that’s believed to be the first report on the airstrikes carried out against ISIS by the United States. After years of civil war, Hariri told Anderson how he knew these airstrikes did not come from the Assad regime.
