Richard Quest to explore how technology changes lives, businesses and the future in ‘Tomorrow Transformed’

CNN International is launching Tomorrow Transformed, a new feature strand examining how society and business are changing through innovation and technology, and what this means for the future.

Presented by CNN anchor Richard Quest, Tomorrow Transformed complements CNN’s increased business output which expanded this year with the launch of The Business View with Nina Dos Santos and the addition of accompanying feature content such as Future Finance and Smart Business. Starting on September 18, Tomorrow Transformed will air fortnightly during CNN International’s Quest Means Business and News Stream. Reaching a global audience, the segments will also air on CNN US.  In addition, a 30-minute programming special highlighting the most innovative stories from the series will air in 2015.

Tomorrow Transformed will cover subject areas relating to key societal functions of transportation, media, finance or energy; always highlighting an innovation and examining how it will change the way the world works. Themes to be explored will include how people communicate, travel, bank, shop and consume energy. Each piece will creatively provide context, illustrating each story through a past, present, future prism.

Tomorrow Transformed will be a creative and informative take on how technology is changing our lives and the way we do business,” said Mike McCarthy, Senior Vice President and General Manager at CNN International. “In the last ten years there has been an unrecognisable shift from how we used to perform everyday tasks at home and at work. This strand of programming will be essential viewing for our international audience as we take a fresh look at the way change has taken place and how technology may continue to shape the future.”

A special Tomorrow Transformed microsite at CNN.com/TomorrowTransformed will complement the on-air programming by featuring additional interactive and informative elements.

Tomorrow Transformed on-air and online content is sponsored by Ericsson.
