CNN’s Nick Paton Walsh returns to Aleppo, Syria

CNN’s senior international correspondent Nick Paton Walsh (@npwcnn) returns to the Syrian city of Aleppo, where he finds few signs of life.

He meets a British doctor working in Syria for the past two years, severely wounded six weeks ago by a bomb blast.

“First there is a plane in the sky. We duck down, and they just hit us with a bomb,” he says. “I didn’t feel anything. The next thing I was woken up and could not feel my leg. Things were burning around me. They took me to a hospital and when I woke up I realized I was burning. I can’t sleep at night, it’s unbearable.”
