CNN Ad Sales sharpens UK focus, as Liz Nunn joins from Viacom

London 11 February 2014. CNN Ad Sales has boosted its commitment to the UK market with the appointment of Liz Nunn, née Rakowicz, formerly Vice President, International Sales, at Viacom.

As Head of Ad Sales for the UK at CNN International, Nunn will lead the network’s advertising sales in the UK, as well as in the Netherlands and Finland. She will be responsible for both setting in place and delivering a growth strategy across these territories, and will also take on a broader mandate to coordinate CNN’s business relations with media agencies globally.

Nunn has spent 13 years delivering growth across a range of international media companies, including a successful spell at CNN. In her new role she will work across CNN Ad Sales’ multi-platform portfolio, reporting into Petra Malenicka, Vice President, Ad Sales for Western Europe.

Malenicka said: “I am thrilled to be working with Liz again, having seen first-hand what she brings to our sales operation. The UK is a hub of creative excellence and the centre of critical media agency relationships, and we want to build on our leading pan-regional position here. Liz’s energy, sharp mind, market knowledge and industry network are second to none. She will greatly strengthen CNN’s competitive advantage in this key market.”

Nunn began her career as a graduate at Mediacom, and her CV includes spells at Carat and Eurosport, as well as six years at CNN Ad Sales. She joined Viacom in 2007 and enjoyed six years leading the company’s UK sales operation, working across key international clients and agencies.
