Marking the 50th anniversary of the assassination of JFK, The Sixties: The Assassination of President Kennedy, produced by Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman of Playtone and Mark Herzog of Herzog & Company, was #1 in cable news last night (9-11:00pm) averaging 508k in the key demo adults 25-54 rating. FXNC followed with 487k and MSNBC registered 181k. The film even outperformed the widely viewed CNN Films: Blackfish in the target demo rating (472k).
In total viewers CNN averaged 1.321 million, FXNC posted 2.510m and MSNBC had 730k.
Among younger viewers (18-34) CNN had a +77% advantage over FXNC (108k vs. 61k) and a +671% lead over MSNBC (108k vs. 14k).
