After viewing Blackfish last evening, my family and I were filled with horror at the cruelty and and torture involved with capturing these magnificent creatures. We have cancelled our trip to Seaworld and want them to know what they are doing is both morally and ethically WRONG. These creatures travel several hundred miles a day in open ocean water and keeping them in what essentially is a bathtub sized pool is grotesque and cruel. How dare they take the babies from the mother and how dare they withhold food to get them to enter floating steel cages from dusk to dawn> How dare they treat them in this way and how dare the American public tolerate this??? Seaworld is to Orcas what the Nazi camps were to the Jewish people. They are Orca terrorists and should be treated as such and held accountable in a court of law. They should be closed IMMEDIATELY and allow these Orcas back into the open ocean. All those involved in this despicable ongoing torture of these mammels I ask... How do you look at yourselves in the mirror everyday? How do you sleep at night knowing what you are taking part in? Clearly Seaworld has no conscience and is ONLY interested in the money involved here. After seeing the footage last night I was sickened to my inner core. How do humans think this is alright? Where are the animal protection services and animal rights groups? The Hollywood big mouths, where are they now? Who speaks for the Orcas? The silence is deafening. Seeing the baby taken from the mother to be sold for profit, watching the footage of her screaming in pain for her baby, What the hell is wrong with you people?

I will never take my kids to SeaWorld!! That are inhumane, heartless and down right murderers for letting this all happen! Let those whales out of the prison they are being kept in and set them free to live in the wild where they belong!!

Please re-play the Blackfish Documentary! I missed it and forgot to set my DVR. I believe this program will finally put a stop to the cruel capture and imprisonment of these majestic creatures.
    Thank you!

thank you for showing BLACKFISH last night, although some of it was painful to watch, to say the least. By the end of the film, I no longer wanted to go to Seaworld or to expose my children and grandchildren to the captivity of these beautiful animals.
What we as a society have done to the Orcas seems to me no less horrible and degrading than what people themselves have done to people through slavery ....cruelly separating them from their families (their pod), yet knowing the grief they have experienced and what the breakdown of their social systems and individual freedom has produced; anger, violence, horrendous results. I feel a deep sadness for the captured whales, and feel it is so wrong to limit their lives to entertain us!

I watched this program and yes I have been to Sea World San Diego. I must agree they the whales and dolphins should be free. No I shall never return to any of these parks again. I cannot believe Jack Hannon going along with their point of view. You know I use to respect Jack for his contributions and education he gave to the world. However, he got this one wrong. I just do not get it with all the evidence about the whales not thriving and what happens to the trainers. This is a no brainer. It is inhumane and cruel to the whales not to mention the risk to the trainers. Just wrong plain and simple wrong.
