VIDEO: AC360 Exclusive: Wounded Warrior Project steps in during government shutdown

The government shutdown is causing serious anxiety for many military veterans who receive disability and G.I. Bill benefits, along with military families who rely on survivor benefits. The Department of Veterans Affairs warned it will not be able to pay those benefits if the government stays closed through the end of month.

Executive Director Steve Nardizzi announced exclusively on AC360° that the Wounded Warrior Project is stepping in with a $20 million fund to help thousands of veterans and their families cover expenses unpaid during the government shutdown.
