Reliable Sources turns a critical lens on Howard Kurtz

Sunday on CNN's Reliable Sources, Politico’s Dylan Byers and NPR's David Folkenflik asked Howard Kurtz about his mistakes in reporting on the story of NBA player Jason Collins.

Kurtz: “The mistake that I made was sloppy and inexcusable… Because I have been a media critic for two decades, I should be held to a higher standard, because I am the host of this program, I should be held to a higher standard.  I deserve the criticism.  I accept it and determined to learn from this episode."

A full transcript of the program may be found here.
