CNN speaks to Tsarnaev brothers’ aunt in Dagestan

CNN’s Nick Paton Walsh (@npwcnn) tracks down Pateimat Suleimanova, an aunt of Boston bombing suspects Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, in Dagestan.

Here she discusses Anzor Tsarnaev’s reaction to seeing his sons on television, as well as her reaction to Tamerlan adopting Islam.

“It’s strange to me that it was him [Tamerlan] who adopted Islam – not his father, not his mother, but himself. They hadn’t prayed before they went to America. Nobody taught him – he learned everything himself.”
