CNN Mobile Hits 30 Million Downloads

CNN’s mobile apps for iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows, Kindle Fire, Nook and Nokia now boast more than 30 million downloads.*  Along with this milestone, CNN has reintroduced users to James Earl Jones’ iconic greeting “This is CNN” on mobile.  Users can download the latest update to the CNN Apps for iPhone and iPad to hear Jones’ audio greeting whenever the app launches.  The audio greeting can be turned off within the apps’ settings.

CNN iReport has also invited users to record their own “This is CNN” message with the best ones to be featured on CNN’s Facebook page.

CNN Digital has remained the No. 1 mobile news for more than five consecutive years.  In 2012, the CNN Digital Network claimed an average of 21.2 million unique users per month, besting its nearest competitor by 25%.**
