Axelrod to Crowley: storm makes it harder to campaign

Today on CNN’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley, Obama campaign senior adviser David Axelrod spoke about the presidential election and the latest polling numbers, early voting and the potential impact of Hurricane Sandy on voting. A full transcript of the interview may be found here.

Axelrod on Hurricane Sandy’s potential impact on the election:

“The best thing we can do is focus on how we can help people during this storm and hope that it all clears out and that by the next weekend we’ll be free of it and people can focus on the election.”

” Obviously we want unfettered access to the polls because we believe that the more people come out, the better we’re going to do… that’s a concern.”
