Pres. Obama rep. on 2007 video release: Romney campaign should “say it was wrong”

President Obama Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter addresses tonight’s first presidential debate, VP Biden’s comment on the middle class, polling and the release of a speech by President Obama in 2007.

On the video, Cutter says, “I think allies to Mitt Romney are responsible. And I think that the Romney campaign should stand up and do the right thing and say that it was irresponsible to do something like that, particularly on the eve of the debate.”

When CNN Anchor Soledad O’Brien asks if she is saying Mitt Romney is responsible, she responds, “I’m not saying Mitt Romney is responsible. I’m not saying the Romney campaign is responsible. I do think it’s allies to that campaign. And I think the Mitt Romney campaign has an opportunity to stand up and say it was wrong.”
