Aung San Suu Kyi to Amanpour: “[sanctions] can’t really be lifted yet, but there can be a waiver. And I would very much support such a move…”

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour interviewed Aung San Suu Kyi about her transition from years of official detention to becoming a political leader for the more democratic Burma.  Aung San Suu Kyi explains why she is still cautious about “reckless optimism” regarding economic reform in her country, comments on her children, her relationship with the current Burmese government, and discusses the remaining political prisoners in Burma.
