Amanda Knox’s Ex- Boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito Speaks to @andersoncooper on @AC360 TONIGHT

Tonight on Anderson Cooper 360°, Amanda Knox’s former boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, speaks to Anderson about his tell all book – ‘Honor Bound’.

Below are sound bites from their interview:

Anderson Cooper: One of the things, when Amanda was questioned by police, was she ended up kind of saying things that kind of implicated her and implicated you. It made it sound as if maybe she had been there when Meredith Kercher was killed. Explain to someone who has never been through interrogation, how that can happen. I mean, if you weren’t involved, why would somebody say, you know why do people confess.

Raffaele Sollecito: there are maybe 10 investigators who are really aggressive. And they push you, saying “You’re a liar,”, just to me saying, “You are stupid,” “You’re covering a slutty whore, a slutty girl,” “She will be back in Seattle,” and “You will never see her again,” “You, you fell in love with a whore,” They were really aggressive, And this is a detail but it lasts almost 10 hours always in this way and after you are exhausted and you don’t sleep they threaten you they say you will be in jail for the rest of your life. You will never see your parents again You give them whatever they want.

Anderson Cooper: At what point did you realize, wait a minute, prosecutors think I’m involved in this and Amanda’s involved in this? Because early on the prosecutor is really the one that came up with this theory that there was a sex game gone wrong and early on despite, a lack of evidence, focused on you both.

Raffaele Sollecito: I realized it too late. I mean, I was just in the last questioning, in the last interrogatory, and after a few hours and three, they were so aggressive and so overwhelming of me, I started to realize that something was really bad. And wrong. And but it was too late. And the last thing, the last questioning lasted almost ten hours. It began from nine in the night to the morning after. Like eight, or yeah, eight in the morning.

Cooper: When you were first called into the police, you and Amanda, you went without an attorney. Everyone else who was brought in brought an attorney. Did you not realize that you might be a suspect?

Sollecito: No, no one told us that we were suspected. At that time, we were completely, we didn’t know anything. We were just under the same list with all the other guys, with witnesses about what was going around the friendships of the girl, Meredith.
