HBO’s ’41’ airs on CNN Saturday, Sept. 1 at 8:00pm ET&PT

Produced for HBO and written and directed by Jeffrey Roth and executive produced by Jerry Weintraub, ’41’ was filmed over a 17-month period and tells George Herbert Walker Bush’s story in his own words – providing an intimate glimpse of the life of the 41st president of the United States.

Beginning with his childhood memories from time spent at his grandfather’s home at Walker’s Point in Maine, to his experiences as an 18-year-old Naval aviator during World War II, to being a Texas oil man, his time in the U.S. Congress, serving as President Nixon’s Ambassador to China, and ultimately, to his service as vice president and president of the United States, this film spans the very full life of the now 88-year-old former President Bush.  Now the Bush family patriarch, the 41st President of the United States, reflects on the highs and lows of his life, from his summer compound in Kennebunkport, Maine, and his presidential library in Texas, with contributions and moving recollections shared with his beloved wife of 67 years, Barbara Bush, and including the presidency of his son, George W. Bush, and  his own last election against President Bill Clinton, whom he now counts as a friend.

’41’ debuts on CNN on Saturday, Sept. 1 at 8:00pm and 11:00pm ET & PT.  PREVIEW VIDEO: http://itsh.bo/SNtuio
