CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute Returns Sunday, December 2, 2012

CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute returns for its 6th year on Sunday, December 2, 2012 live at 9pm ET on CNN. Hosted by Anderson Cooper from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the annual tribute show will honor the 2012 Top 10 CNN Heroes as well as reveal the “CNN Hero of the Year.”

Individuals can nominate their heroes online now through August 31. The top 10 CNN Heroes will be announced on September 20th, at which time online voting begins for “Hero of the Year.” The Top 10 CNN Heroes will receive $50,000, and the CNN Hero of the Year will receive $250,000.

The tribute show launched in 2007 to spotlight everyday people changing the world. Since its inception, “CNN Heroes” has received over 45,000 submissions from more than 100 countries and profiled over 180 heroes.
