CNN Press Room

Will Ferrell & Zach Galifianakis visit CNN

In an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns, Will Ferrell & Zach Galifianakis respond to Romney’s aide cursing at the press. Highlights from the entertaining interview are after the jump.

JOHNS:  Yes.  And I know — the interesting thing, as we talked a little bit about the baby at the start, we actually saw the baby character appear in another movie that you were in, which was the — the Las Vegas movie, “The Hangover.”

How does this theme reappear?

Is that something you had to do with or?

GALIFIANAKIS:  My — I won’t do a movie unless it has a little baby in it.

JOHNS:  Well, we’ve been hoping to get your reaction from — from your characters on some of the current events.  We want to play you what Romney traveling press secretary said today in Poland to the press covering…

(CROSSTALK)

JOHNS:  — Governor Romney.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE:  OK.

JOHNS:  You may have already heard this one.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE:  OK.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE:  Governor Romney, do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?

RICK GORKA, ROMNEY AIDE:  This is a Holy site for the Polish people.  Show some respect.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE:  Governor Romney, just a question…

GORKA:  Show some respect, Jim.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE:   We — we haven’t had another chance to ask him questions.

GORKA:  Kiss my (EXPLETIVE LANGUAGE).  This is Holy site for the Polish people.  Show some respect.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(LAUGHTER)

GALIFIANAKIS:  I haven’t seen that.

JOHNS:  No?

FERRELL:  I hadn’t seen that one.

JOHNS:  Right.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE:   Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE:   Yes.

JOHNS:  It’s sort of right out of your movie.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE:   Oh, my gosh.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE:   Yes.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE:   Pretty much.

JOHNS:  What’s your reaction?

GALIFIANAKIS:  He — he’s upset at some — somebody yelling a question, is that what he was upset?

JOHNS:  Right.  Yes.

FERRELL:  Yes.

JOHNS:  Yes.  Well, what would your character’s reaction be to that?

FERRELL:  Oh.

GALIFIANAKIS:  I would just probably say don’t use that kind of language.

(LAUGHTER)

GALIFIANAKIS:  You know, because that’s probably…

JOHNS:  Your character…

(CROSSTALK)

JOHNS:  — uses that language all the time.

FERRELL:  Cam would probably say I — I use that language at least five times a day and sometimes you lose your — your — your temper.  And it’s OK to curse.

(LAUGHTER)

JOHNS:  Thank you so much.
