Former co-worker: James Holmes had “no incidents” at camp; seemed like a “nice guy,” but isolated

Gabriel Menchaca, who worked as a summer camp counselor in 2008 with Colorado movie theater shooting suspect, was “shocked” when he heard the news.

Menchaca recalls that Holmes was a good counselor who had “no incidents” during his employment with the camp. He said that he seemed to be “a nice guy,” but a little isolated.

He says, “When we would hang around or do something, he wouldn’t go out with us or hang around with us.”
