Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) tells CNN’s Soledad O’Brien that if House Republicans try to repeal the “good parts” in the Affordable Care Act, Democrats will be on “strong ground.”
Sen. Schumer says, “Does Speaker Boehner wanna tell senior citizens that we’re not gonna fill the donut hole and help pay for their prescription drugs? Does Speaker Boehner wanna tell kids out of college who can’t afford healthcare can no longer be a part of their parents plan? And does Speaker Boehner wanna give free reign to insurance companies so they can charge huge amounts for non-medical costs?”… The American people sure don’t.”
He continues, “And If the House Republicans try to repeal those good parts [in the Affordable Care Act], I think [Democrats will] be on very strong ground [for campaigning].”
