Clemens attorney: Jury firmly convinced; verdict not a technicality

Rusty Hardin, attorney for former baseball player Roger Clemens, talks to CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien about his client’s not guilty verdict for perjury.

Hardin says, “His life has been tremendously damaged….”

He continues, “This jury… was firmly convinced he didn’t do it. They didn’t find him not guilty because of some technicality or lawyers. They’re absolutely convinced that Roger Clemens did not use performance enhancing drugs at anytime in his career. I’m hoping people look to that ultimately when they assess him.”

Starting Point with Soledad O’Brien airs weekday morning from 7-9am ET on CNN.
