CNN's Fareed Zakaria spoke with Welterweight Boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao about fighting, his legislative duties as a Member of the House of Representatives for the Republic of the Philippines, his faith, and whether he would like to become President of the Philippines someday.
Born amid poverty in the Philippines, where he is currently the lone congressional representative from the Sarangani Province, Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KOs) has overcome every barrier to become an icon, capturing world titles in eight different weight divisions. Pacquiao will be fighting in Las Vegas for the 14th time as he defends his title live on HBO Pay-Per-View, Saturday, June 9. His opponent will be undefeated Timothy Bradley, Jr. (28-0, 12 KOs), an engaging fighter and one of the future stars of the sport.
