#AC360 – Should Backpage Close their Adult Services Section?

The most popular internet site for escorts is backPage.com. In recent weeks Anderson Cooper 360° has reported on increased pressure from law enforcement and anti sex- trafficking groups to shut down their adult services section. Authorities say that underage girls are sometimes sold for sex on that site.
BackPage claims that they are not a prostitution site and that they work with law enforcement to track down child sex traffickers.
They also say that “shutting down the site is not an answer” and gave AC360° a few names of their supporters. When we reached out to them, we heard otherwise.
