.@AC360 – @DrewGriffinCNN speaks with Disabled Veterans National Foundation Charity Board Member

The Disabled Veterans National Foundation claims to raise money for disabled vets. According to their tax filing they have raised close to $56 million in the last three years.  Anderson Cooper 360 has been investigating this group for years and what they found is shocking. Of the 56 millions dollars, AC360° has found that none of that money actually gone to help veterans groups directly. While they do send stuff to veterans groups, most of it is stuff that the group did not want, ask for or need – like 11, 520 bags of coconut M&Ms!
CNN’s Drew Griffin has tried for more than a year to speak with the president of DVNF, Pricilla Landry Wilkewitz, to find out what happened to the money they raised. Griffin went to her home but she declined an interview. Today, she was scheduled to give a speech in California, so Griffin went to the event in hopes of getting answers from her. But she canceled her appearance. Instead he talked with another board member, vice president Valerie Conley, at the event. Conley claims that money has gone to veteran groups and that they “have done nothing illegal”.
