Piers Morgan Tonight: Meredith Vieira defends Ann Curry against negative criticism

Last night,  American journalist and television personality Meredith Vieira joined Piers Morgan, sharing details of her new documentary, "The Woman Who Wasn't There."

Later on the show, Vieira also chatted with Piers Morgan about Ann Curry, defending her former "Today Show" colleague against the criticism she's endured since replacing Vieira as co-host:

"Well, I hope that Ann has enough perspective, and I'm sure that she does, to ignore it," she said. "And if the numbers are going up and down, it – it's not Ann. These things happen. And, you know, I believe in her very strongly. And I'm sure the team does, as well. She's phenomenal."
