CNN Digital Garners Three Prestigious EPPY™Awards

CNN Digital was honored today with three EPPY™ Awards by Editor & Publisher, the authoritative journal for newspaper professionals. The EPPY™ Awards recognize media outlets that are leading the way in the online revolution. CNN Digital picked up awards for the Best News/Political Blog for the This Just In blog, Best Citizen Journalism site for CNN iReport and Best Food site for CNN’s food blog, Eatocracy.

The 2011 EPPY™ Awards, now in their 16th year, are an international contest that honors the best media-affiliated websites across 43 diverse categories. The winners were announced Wednesday, November 30 on http://www.editorandpublisher.com after four weeks of in-depth judging.  Finalists must receive a score in the top one third of the average score across all categories within their division.
