Julian Castro: Rick Perry’s Texas Track Record Leaves ‘A Lot to Be Desired’

San Antonio mayor Julian Castro–considered by many to be a rising star in the Democratic Party–told CNN’s Erin Burnett he agrees with President Obama’s own assessment of his re-election chances, saying Mr. Obama is “an underdog,” but said there’s “plenty of time” for the president to turn things around. And Castro’s opinion of Texas Governor Rick Perry was blunt, saying Perry’s record in Texas on Hispanic issues “leaves a lot to be desired.”
