WOLF BLITZER, HOST, CNN’S “THE SITUATION ROOM”: Let’s talk a little bit about something unrelated. You recently met with the governor of Texas, Rick Perry.  Is that right?

PERVEZ MUSHARRAF, FORMER PRESIDENT OF PAKISTAN: Yes.

BLITZER:  What was that about?

MUSHARRAF:  Nothing.  He wanted to meet.   Maybe exchange views on exactly what it would be — a talking off —

BLITZER:  Did you get the impression he’s thinking of running for president?

MUSHARRAF:  Well, I think — I did, yes.

BLITZER:  You did?

MUSHARRAF:  Yes.

BLITZER:  So you think he will?

MUSHARRAF:  You need to ask him, but I think — I thought — I did get that —

BLITZER:  I mean, I agree with you.  I think he will run for president, too, but I just — I haven’t met with him personally, you did.

MUSHARRAF:  Yes.

BLITZER:  But you came away from that meeting —

MUSHARRAF:  Yes.

BLITZER:  — thinking he’s going to run.

MUSHARRAF:  Yes.
